The Bagel from Westin Hotel is the brain child of Frank Tujague, head chef and is sold for $1,000 apiece. It’s an ordinary bagel, but the filling is absolutely delicious and extravagant. It features white truffle, Riesling jelly infused with goji and cream cheese. The end result is sprinkled with gold leaves and served.

Craftsteak in the big apple used to sell one of the most expensive steaks in the world. Made from the finest Kobe beef (cattle that are fed beer on a regular basis and are massaged) a piece of rib eye steak was sold for $2,800 per portion. The restaurant was closed a few years ago.

Last but not least, the Italian white truffle is by far one of the most expensive food items ever sold. They are extremely hard to grow and find and this is why a big truffle of this variety that weighed around 1.5 kilos was sold for the mind blowing price of $160,000.
